Antique C.S. Hammonds Terrestrial Desk Globe with Cast Iron Base & Frame



This antique desk globe was made by the C.S. Hammond & Co. of New York in approximately 1920 in the period Art Deco style. The globe sits inside a cast iron frame which rotates around, while permitting the globe to spin on its axis. The cast iron frame sits on a cast iron tripod base with nice cast details and paw feet. The globe in clearly marked with the C.S. Hammond & Co. signature and the cast base is also signed by its respective maker.
