About the Item

It is the incredible hand-wrought iron details that make this dome top trunk an exceptional find. Note the elaborate flowers seen throughout the ironwork, encasing the top, corners and even front. The age of this trunk is revealed in the deep, rich patina of the dark pine. Typical age related separation is seen in the planks along top and sides, but in no way does this impact the strength or integrity of the trunk itself. Professionally restored and waxed, this trunk is ready to be placed and enjoyed. All old cracks, nicks, signs of wear are commensurate with age and do not detract from the function nor beauty of this 18th century trunk. Key included and used to open. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
