This is a very well made example of a steamer trunk, it looks to me to be made from Camphor wood which was super popular during the Chinese export period circa 1890-1920, the leather work has been wonderfully hand dyed and aged, the brass work is hand hammered much the same as the antique studs
This piece has an amazing patination that can only be achieved through honest age and genuine use
