Magnificent and rare Victorian porte manteau or hall stand. Design by M. v. E. & Co. Breda. Striking Dutch design from the late 19th Century. Cast iron coat rack with umbrella stand with the original lacquered removable cast iron drip tray! Design depicts fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf amidst a panel of oak leaves and acorns with four perpendicular hooks in the form of hooves! This wonderful Victorian porte manteau or hall stand is in very good condition with some wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Impressed with the foundry name.
