Early 20th Century French Brass and Walnut Free Standing Jacket and Pants Holder

About the Item

This antique "porte manteau" was created in Paris circa 1920; made of brass with a beech wood coat holder, the suit Stand sits on a tree curved leg base decorated with acanthus leaf motifs. The stem is further dressed with a round vide-poche in the middle. The top has a coat and pant holder embellished with a decorative handle at the pediment for easy handling. The practical whimsical free standing piece is in excellent condition with a rich patinated finish and could be used in any bathroom or walking closet. Measures: 17"W x 10"D x 42"H.
