About the Item

This 1970s Italian plastic coat rack, known as the Minivip model, was designed by architects Benanti & Brunori and produced by Velca Legnano (Milano). An icon of modular design and functional minimalism, the piece features five rotating hooks that pivot independently up to 150° and retract flush into the wall-mounted structure. Crafted in smooth beige ABS plastic, this wall rack is both utilitarian and sculptural—perfect for modern interiors, minimalist spaces, or collectors of radical Italian design. Its geometric shape and clever functionality reflect the spirit of the Space Age movement and mid-century Italian industrial aesthetics. In excellent vintage condition with very minor signs of use and a soft patina from age. This is a standout collector’s piece that merges intelligent design, beauty, and practicality. Suitable for entryways, workspaces, or bathrooms where clean lines and design heritage matter.
