Unusual 19th C., Victorian Aesthetic Movement Petit Point Boot Jack

About the Item

English, 19th century. An unusual Victorian Aesthetic Movement petit point boot jack. The frame is constructed from walnut with gold painted detailing to the carved recessions. The mouth of the jack has a very unique petit point stitching which depicts a cobbler. His face and arms are made of either leather or a thick canvas and hand painted. Provenance: From a Little Compton R.I. Estate.
