This is an antique master artist's folio stand. An English, mahogany adjustable architect's picture rack, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
Truly exceptional craftsmanship, with ample storage for numerous works
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order throughout
Select stocks show fine grain interest and light caramel hues
Delightfully large bronze hinges add to the impression of substantial quality
Pair of frames adjust through seven positions upon a ratchet mechanism
Each frame raises independently, from near vertical to a flat, wide v-section
Wide picture rest dressed with small brass section pins, showing warm golden tones
Standing upon a quartet of cupped bun feet, hosting concealed castors
