About the Item

Thanks for looking at this refinished cabinet mid century stereo console. This is a cherished and much respected stereo cabinet of the Madmen era. It shows great time period patina but refinished to a great looking piece. The original receiver is left intact and is currently non-functioning but can be refurbished as an upgrade option and we can install a new receiver for power, we can also install a new turntable for years of enjoyment and performance. We have can also install a new Bluetooth receiver so it can stream any of your playlists on your smartphones and smart devices, yes, even your TV . The turntable should be replaced with a new turntable, able to give years of great performance far superior to the equipment of old. Our shop has been acquiring beautiful pieces from the midcentury period for our customers for years and between our employees and techs we have over 100 years of experience in this. We acquire from various sources, including exclusive estate brokers and sales, antique shops, restoration shops and well known collectors in this area. Our vendors have significant experience in this business in supplying vintage stereo consoles to museums (MOMA), motion picture industry (Paramount, etc.), Grammy award winning directors and musicians, let alone various large demanding companies (Google, Trek, etc.). We are pleased to be able to offer such antiquities on this site, giving access to the general public, not just high end luxury interior designers. The order process here is simple and straightforward. - find the console you like. - If the standard operating configuration suits your needs, fine, we get it detailed and ready to ship. - If you require modifications or upgrades, we converse on that impact and finish your sales process. - Price as pictured, non operating as described, upgrades exist. - Updates and Upgrades available by contacting seller, including Platinum Level Wood Refinishing Services, Sound Power Amplification Upgrades, Record Player - Turntable Upgrades, Speaker System Upgrades, Sonos System Upgrades, Bluetooth Streaming Upgrades, and other available options. - We really make it simple, even though it can easily sound complex. We'll figure out what you are looking for and make a few suggestions... and exceed expectations on delivery. - We've done this a wide variety of ways, either talking through the process, or post sale, and even a year or two later we've been asked to upgrade these. When you sell 750 plus mid century consoles like we just did, you've kind of seen it all. All of our consoles are from the 50s or 60s. Most go through an intense refinishing process as an upgrade, through our studio shop. but our goal is to keep it looking like it is from the period, and may contain some condition patina consistent with the age. We will of course cover as much as you'd like, and refinish further if requested, however understand that we don't fully destroy the period integrity of these artifacts by fully sanding through and trying to rid of all nicks and fades and scratches that help show and flatter the piece.
