Hand Made Bespoke Pillow The Italian embroidered panel , most likely Genoa dates from late 17th century (circa 1680) Depicting an abundance of flowers worked in pastel coloured silks within twisted cording The panel is a rare and beautiful Work of Art, almost Three and a Half Centuries Old of course shows appropriate signs of wear commensurate with this immense age With a historic, time worn gently faded grandeur that only centuries of age can achieve Considering the great age of the embroidery it is in good antique condition The original ground silk has almost completely worn away to reveal the strong and stable hand spun naturally dyed pale Green linen below, which only adds to its immense charm Wonderful gently time worn patina throughout ,rubbing losses to silks Please study photographs as they do forma a very important part of the description SIZE 20 inches x 20 inches (50cm x 50cm) S3421 FOOTNOTE All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved o
