21st Century Carpet Rug Shibori by J&V in Himalayan Wool and Silk White, Blue

About the Item

From the meeting between Illulian and Jannelli & Volpi, a metaphorical transposition from vertical to horizontal arises. For Illulian's Limited Edition, a fascinating design of the famous manufacturer of wallpapers and fabrics is proposed here: Shibori. Drawing inspired by the Japanese culture of graphics and textile dyeing technique called Shibori. Floral patterns and geometries in different scales and the washed-out effect give a particular allure to the designs complemented by a fresh and soft color palette. This rug is hand knotted in Nepal by our artisans by using 50% silk and 50% Fine Himalayan wool dyed using vegetable and mineral pigments. The base is 5 mm high, while the design is 7 mm high with 152,000 knot/sqm. Customizable in terms of size, colors, fiber compositions, shape and pile heights. Anti-stain treatment available upon request. We invite you to send us an image of the spot where the rug/carpet will be placed so to insert graphically the model of your interest. In this way you can have a preview of how it will look like in your home.
