Pomegranate red and white flowers with sage and teal green leaves and tone on tone curving vines trail toward the center of a gold background with fresco like shading. The teal and gold border is a reminiscent of a chinoiserie canopy. Using ancient French dyeing methods, thousands of subtle color shades give this handmade needlepoint rug a look reminiscent of the frescoes of Pompeii.
