About the Item
Kuba is the largest rug weaving center in the Caucasus region. Located in the northeast near the Caspian Sea, this area is known for producing rugs with medium-density, low piles on solid foundations. These rugs are often woven on indigo fields. This runner, woven exclusively in vegetal dyes, has a repeat pattern of polychrome rosettes in a saffron diamond lattice on an indigo field. The field is flanked by ivory and russet stylized floral borders. 8' 1" x 3' 1" .
