Late 19th Century Antique Caucasian Runner

About the Item

This antique rug has a tomato-red field with an overall design of linked indigo-blue lozenges, each containing a pair of polychrome square lozenges around a central sandy-brown angular floral stem, stylized animals at each side, in a light blue border of brick-red and fox-brown linked flowerheads between brick-red and fox-brown angular floral stripes, inner bottle-green angular floral vine, outer ivory polychrome angular floral vine stripe.
