Vintage Caucasian Kilim in Stripe Geometric Pattern in Blue, Brown, Ivory, Brick

About the Item

This beautiful Caucasian Kilim has the true essence of the village and tribal weaving. The Turkish Kilim has brilliant colors including abrash blue, yellow, brick red, brown, and ivory. The design and colors in this kilim are very similar to Shahsavan kilims in NW Persia. The designed stripes are separated by solid bands in dark and light blue, brown, brick, and light yellow colors. The use of natural vegetable dyes and the gradual changing of the colors (abrash) adds to the uniqueness and beauty of this village woven creation.
