About the Item

There is more intrigue than fact about this rug! It’s Chinese, probably from Peking (Beijing) and woven in the mid 20th Century (I think!). I don’t know who the chap is but he’s in traditional dress and is carrying a turtle, symbolising wisdom and longevity. What I do know is that it is rather funky and I love it! Size: 2.43m x 1.27m (8ft x 4ft 2in) This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned. Free worldwide shipping.
