For the more adventurous soul, in our Blue Blossom carpet Shewekar ventures into more heritage and art. Patchwork takes on a new meaning as the swaying Lotus flower is contrasted with the Ancient Egyptian geometric depiction of the flowing river Nile, and the gold stars famously drawn on tombs’ ceilings representing the heavens and afterlife. Mostly in hues of blue and grey, the design is beautifully interrupted with deep crimson lines for an added touch of warmth.
Note: Due to the intricate handmade process of weaving and dyeing of colors, rugs of this type are truly one-of-a-kind. Each rug has a unique personality, no two rugs are exactly the same.
