About the Item

This vintage Runner is a 100% wool rug – soft and comfortable underfoot. Our Berber rugs are handmade, one knot at a time. Each of our Berber rugs is a long-lasting one-of-a-kind piece, created in a sustainable manner with local wool. Vintage Berber rug, Handmade 40 years old 100% Wool Made in Morocco, Haouz of Marrakesh All of our carpets are cleaned in a professional carpet laundry. The first step in cleaning is to tap the carpet thoroughly to remove dust and any mites. The subsequent prewash with a pH-neutral soap removes stains. For the main wash, the carpets are thoroughly washed by hand – a special soap protects the fibers and preserves the natural wool fat of the carpets. The first dewatering takes place by means of mechanical pressing and spinning, so that the carpets are then dried in a constant air circulation.

Berber Large 1970s Stripped Rug Handmade Vintage Boho North African
Located in London, GB
This handwoven Algerian Berber rug is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship with a simple stripped design and vibrant colors. This generous size rug features stripes of various colors such as red, yellow, green and many more all set against a beige background. The rug is made using traditional Berber weaving techniques to create a unique and durable textile. The use of natural materials, such as wool or cotton, ensures that the rug is not only beautiful but also eco-friendly. The stripes on the rug are arranged in a horizontal pattern, with each color blending seamlessly into the next. The red stripes are a bold, rich shade, while the yellow stripes are a bright, sunny hue. The green stripes are a deep, earthy tone, and other colors may be incorporated into the design as well. The beige background of the rug provides a neutral base for the colorful stripes, allowing the colors to stand out and make a statement. The texture of the rug is soft yet hardware, making it a comfortable and cozy addition to any room. Unlike other Berber rugs that originate from neighbouring touristic countries and anyone could grab a rug, Algeria is not a touristic destination and therefore extremely difficult to find these rugs outside the country. We have a large collection of Algerian Berber Amazigh rugs...
