About the Item
Kerman carpets are one of the traditional classifications of Persian carpets. Kerman rugs exhibit a wide range of designs, a broad palette, use of natural dyes and fibers, significant tensile strength, and abrasion resistance, as well as expert color combinations. Typical manufacturing techniques use an asymmetrical knot on cotton foundation, but less frequent examples incorporate silk or part silk piles, or silk foundations with wool pile. This rug was hand-made in Kerman (the city) and it is 100% wool in good condition. Purchased from zz imports (we have a certificate of authenticity on file). There is a small tear (as shown in the photos).
