This antique Kerman Lavar Persian floral rug has a unique orientation in its field. From 1880-1900, the graph of the all-over floral field was drawn off-centre, an exceptionally uncommon trait for Kerman Lavar rugs that typically favor centric symmetry. However, the multi-border style and vine scroll patterns are idyllic of this style. The asymmetry was likely purposeful, meant to draw attention to the popular choice of crimson red, beige, light blue, and black colors in thick wool pile. Quick and easy to clean.
