About the Item

Of lavar quality, this well-woven SE Persian urban carpet displays a pendanted charcoal medallion enclosing a 12-point ivory palmette Sub-medallion, all on the pale pistachio ground with a dense coverage of layered rosettes, garden flowers and vines, accented in cochineal red, rust, ivory, navy and green. The old ivory main border shows double forked acanthus leaves and various escutcheon palmettes. The colors are crisp, the palette is wide and the condition is fair.
