Antique Persian area rug handwoven from the finest sheep’s wool. It’s colored with all-natural vegetable dyes that are safe for humans and pets. It’s a traditional Kerman design handwoven by expert artisans. It’s a lovely area rug that can be incorporated with virtually any home interior design. It has a dimension of 9'7" x 13'9" which works well for living rooms, hallways and bedrooms.
Kerman is an ancient city in southeastern Iran and is one of the major rug and carpet production hubs in the country. Central medallions bordered by floral details are common in these rugs which make them easy to identify. They are also among the finest handwoven floor coverings which made them so popular and highly coveted in the West. According to historians, the famed explorer Marco Polo is one of the first westerners to lay eyes on Kerman rugs and wrote about how exquisite they were.
