Collector's Antique Persian Halvai Bidjar Sampler or "Wagireh" Rug for Visionaries, Innovators, and Sales Machines About: If You're an Entrepreneur, Innovator, Visionary, Sales-Machine - THIS is your rug. Woven of numerous designs your area/family/village could produce, these samples were taken around and used to sell / commission pieces out for other merchants/clients etc. This is the Epitome of door-to-door sales and the genius to not sell the rug from a paper-sketch or graph with colors, but an actual piece of the rug to show off the feel, body, depth, and really get the buyer excited. These pieces speak to me on numerous levels, mainly because I love the Entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity it took to dream, create and execute on this idea and it worked Wonders! Also, this one is from my favorite rug weaving village, nothing like these particular mystical weavers! Size: 3.8 x 4.5 Age: Antique, C. 1900's Pile: Low with age-related wear and patina, some hiccups here and there given how old this piece is, but all in all it is a Gem. This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects. Always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding. This rug is also available with a custom cut pad (sold separately).
