About the Item

Antique Persian square rug handwoven from the finest sheep’s wool. It’s colored with all-natural vegetable dyes that are safe for humans and pets. It’s a traditional Jajm design handwoven by expert artisans. It’s a lovely square rug that can be incorporated with virtually any home interior design. It has a dimension of 5'3” x 6' which works well for living rooms, hallways and bedrooms. Jajim is similar to Kilim as a flat-woven rug but with lesser number of knots used. It’s design is almost always in horizontal or vertical lines which points to its humble origins in ancient Persia. Jajim rugs were favored as a bed cover and blanket by tribes living in the cold, mountainous regions. Thicker Jajims were used for covering horses and floors. Important: Actual rug colors may vary from pictures and description.
