This opulent hand-knotted wool antique Persian Tabriz rug features an all-over Herati pattern spread across an abrashed dark navy blue field. The classic Herati pattern, also known as the Mahi or Fish pattern, is amongst the most widespread and well known of all Persian designs, consisting of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. The Persian Tabriz rug is bordered with a reciprocated vine, floral and boteh motif, colors are echoed on a field of pistachio green. This elegant antique Persian rug displays the skill and beautifully executed designs of talented weavers of Tabriz, an added touch of formality to any home.
