Antique Qashqai Carpet
Qashqai rugs have always been sought after in the West by collectors. They possess a certain timeless charm. Tribal pieces are not often found in larger sizes, let alone one as big as this. These pieces were usually woven for the tribal leaders in a particular order and woven by the best weavers of the tribe. The three medallions on a navy blue ground are decorated with floral motifs framed with multiple borders, the main one of which is cream. There is an abrush at one end of the piece, which adds to its charm. This spectacular piece would look fabulous in any surroundings.
