Early 20th century Persian Tabriz Botanic handmade wool rug Size: 4'6" × 6'9" (137 × 205 cm) Tabriz rugs are probably the most famous of all Persian carpets. Due to the extremely long existence of the renowned weaving center, Tabriz can boast about the awe-inspiring range of oriental designs and refined workmanship. This antique Persian Tabriz rug is an absolutely enchanting and classy example of its home city’s craft. The main field carries an opulent medallion composed of connecting vines, palmettes and florals. It is embraced by a series of borders kept in the spirit of the main design, with palmettes and flowering climbers.
