An exceptional late 19th century Persian Bidjar rug with a fantastic central field composed with a floral and vine trellis pattern rendered in brilliant crimson, gold, light indigo and cream colored vegetable dyed wool, on a bold dark indigo background. The border is contrasting with a wide bright floral patterned border on a crimson background flanked by two matching petite floral and vine borders woven on contrasting indigo backgrounds.
