This distressed workshop carpet of medium fine weave shows a red field edged with acanthus leaves, and centred by a pointed and lobed slate medallion, within lighter blue corners, all decorated with palmettes, barbed lancet leaves and little rosettes. Light blue palmette main border and ecru minors with flowering meanders.
