About the Item
This rug with dimensions of 276 cm.x 154 cm, is hand tafted in pure wool. Designed by Ian Spalding, the post modernist style with a vibrant color palette that includes intense tones of orange, green, gray, fuchsia pink and its black frame that gives a sharp and sophisticated contrast. Art Deco motifs are represented by bold geometries and elegant lines, capturing the essence of an iconic era but with a contemporary vibrancy.
This rug is the result of a collaboration between designer Ian Spalding and historic Scottish textile firm Craigie Stockwell, a Scottish company with deep roots in textiles dating back to 1755, when Samuel Stockwell undertook his apprenticeship as a weaver. Since then, the family has maintained the tradition, evolving to the present day under the leadership of the Craigie family.
On the label on the back are production indications the year 1986, portfolio no. 1632, limited edition.

Tappeto Carciofo Cromatico
By Massimo Caiazzo
Located in Milano, IT
