19th Century Two French Large Armchairs in Wool Upholstery

About the Item

Two French armchairs forming a pair, but could be used separately as an accent in your home. Frames are carved wooden sheep bones decorated with foliage scrolls with high winged backrest. The armchairs are newly upholstered in plain and gray blue wool high quality fabric and each one have a small round cushion. Both are resting on old wooden elements as a base. Very good condition and amazingly comfortable. Measurements are as follows 105 x 66 x 71 cm. France, circa 1870. We may offer a shipping quote once you suggest your zip code.

A pair of French painted wood armchairs from the 19th century, with carved foliage motifs, yellow, white and turquoise accents and new linen upholstery. Created in France during the dynamic 19th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a curving back topped with a carved flower flanked with palmettes on the upper rail. Two open arms with scrolling extremities carved with acanthus leaves and rosettes are coming to rest on each side of a seat newly upholstered with a neutral toned linen fabric.
