20th Century Chinese Huanghuali Folding Horseshoe Back Chair

About the Item

Unusual 20th Century Chinese Huanghuali folding armchair. This fine example has a contemporary design feel to it with its folding action and the smooth lines of the beautifully horseshoe shaped back. With carved dragons in the back splat, it has a a rope seat and brass detail all over the chair. Making this chair more like a piece of art or sculpture in the corner or any room. Circa 1950.
