A superb antique Os de Mouton armchair, showcasing the unmistakable sculptural silhouette of the Louis XIII style, with its bold, curving “mutton bone” legs and stretcher base. This stately piece retains its original handwoven tapestry upholstery, a richly textured fabric featuring stylized foliage, mythical beasts, or pastoral scenes typical of the period.
The frame is constructed from solid walnut, with beautifully aged patina and pegged joints.
