Available today, with domestic shipping in the NYC metro area included, this Brazilian Mid-Century “Dinamarquesa” Armchair by Carlo Fongaro, c. 1970s is nothing less than gorgeous! The Dinamarquesa armchair was designed by Italian-born architect Carlo Fongaro (1915-1986) for Probjeto in the 1970s. The seat and backrest are made of molded laminated Brazilian hardwood supported by the metal structure and chromed. The seats, backrests and armrests are all upholstered in leather. This is a very comfortable office chair which will undoubtedly give your working space a nice Brazilian modern touch. The last images feature this piece in contemporary and vintage publications. His collaborations with companies like Ambiente and Probjeto expanded his innovative approach to home furniture, incorporating natural fibers and local materials to infuse his designs with a uniquely Brazilian style. Fongaro's work is celebrated for its simplicity, creativity, and deep connection to local culture, making his pieces highly sought after by discerning collectors and design enthusiasts.

Available today, this Brazilian Modern armchair in brown leather & iron, by Carlo Hauner, in Brazil during the 1950s is one of a kind! The popular design (at the time) follows the same pattern as the also popular “Concha” armchairs from Carlo Hauner and features an intricate steel base with a soft curved, re-upholstered brown leather seat which is very comfortable. This model was produced indoors, being upholstered in leather or outdoors using either a woven cotton fiber called “Sinzal” or colorful spaghetti chords.
