A pair of Chinese hand carved azalea wood root armchair from the late 20th century, priced and sold individually $5,500 each. Created in China during the later years of the 20th century, chair was handcrafted from an actual azalea tree, giving them this warm dark color with red undertone. A bright varnish highlights the exquisite tortuous aspect of the roots. With their stunning organic aspect, these unusual chairs seems to grow from the ground. These Chinese dark azalea wood root chairs will make for great decorative additions to any home, especially placed in a den, office, living room or patio, where their elegant robustness would no doubt add an organic appeal. Possibly used by Chinese aristocrats, these rosewood armchairs delight our eyes with their richly carved structures. Each back is adorned with a skillfully executed décor of foliage, birds and fruits, surrounding a central marble inlaid splat.
