Danish “PJ 56” armchairs by Grete Jalk for Poul Jeppesen Pair of solid Rio rosewood PJ 56 armchairs by Danish designer Grete Jalk for Poul Jeppesen. Rare in this luxurious rosewood version. Stamped under the structure with a green metal medallion “PJ Design Grete Jalk Made in Denmark” and with the medallion “Danish furniture” Photogenic, these armchairs are highlighted from all angles. The design is truly fabulous with the cantilevered armrests, the angle of the seat and the curvature of the backrest. It is a true work of cabinetmaking art. Fully restored by our partner upholsterer specializing in 20th century furniture in Lyon. The High Resilience foams are new. The whole thing is dressed in French terry fabric from the French house Casamance in a powdery snow color. The cushions have removable covers with a zipper and are washable. They will fit in any space with their ideal dimensions even in a small interior. Very good seating comfort with the optimized inclination of the backrest. The set is in very good vintage condition.
