About the Item

Grete Jalk (1920-2006) was a Danish architect and furniture designer known for her contributions to the mid-20th-century design movement. She studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where she was exposed to the principles of modernist design, gaining recognition for her work as a furniture designer during the 1950s and 1960s.
