Early 20th Century Horseshoe Back Armchair with Carved Reeded Splat

About the Item

A Chinese wooden horseshoe armchair from the early 20th century with open back and arms, reeded splat and H-Form cross stretcher. Created in China during the early years of the 20th century, this wooden armchair features an open horseshoe back topped with a carved rail, flowing seamlessly into two slightly sinuous arms. A semi-circular wooden seat is resting on four legs, straight in the front and curving in the back, connected to one another through an H-Form cross stretcher strengthening the ensemble. We review all of our pieces and address issues we may find before they leave for your home; however, this is an antique piece, and as such it will keep its character and some imperfections, which is the quintessence of antique and vintage furniture. With its elegant lines and brown patina, this Chinese wooden armchair from the early 20th century will make for a great accent piece in any home!.
