About the Item

Substantial and heavy, beautifully carved and faux painted pair of Louis XVI style French Provincial armchairs having a cream antiqued color wood and charming light blue and gold checked upholstery. The oval open backs have a complimentary solid cream silk. We love the scalloped wood around the oval backs, on the seat apron fronts, and even on the front of the arms. The backs also have a beautiful carved wood base, and the tapered legs are elegant as well. arm height 26.5 seat height 17.5 (Ann M).
