About the Item
The Ravelle seat is inspired by the french trimmings. This beautiful seat made with fabric and hand made trimming by our artisans in Mexico City.
Fernanda Loyzaga made a reinterpretation of the classic french seatings with trimmings.
After plentiful studies of classical books about furniture design in 16th and 17th century France, where trimmings started to gain recognitions as an art form called Passementerie, Loyzaga designed the details on the confortable and chic Ravelle seat. Mexican artisans made the trimmings by hand. The colors and fabrics were carefully picked, wanting to make something classic but with a contemporary twist, to give spaces a fresher and more versatile look. This piece can be customize with different fabrics and colors for the trimmings.
