French 19th Century Empire St. Mahogany and Ormolu Desk Armchair
About the Item
An impressive and unique French 19th century Empire St. Mahogany and Ormolu desk armchair. The armchair is raised by handsome lightly curved square legs with finely carved recessed designs and beautiful finely detailed Ormolu rosettes extending along the mottled frieze. Elegant lightly scrolled arms lead to the curved back support decorated with a striking richly chased pierced central rosette with charming finely detailed blooming flowers with superb scrolled foliate mounts at each corner. The back displays a recessed panel showcasing the beautiful Mahogany wood grain. Upholstered in brown leather with elegant French nails.
