About the Item
Exceptional Janine Abraham and architect Dirk Jan Rol rattan white painted lounge chair manufactured by Edition Rougier, c 1955. The elegant basket seat shell is held by organic wooden frame. This is one of the only handfull of painted chairs that are available worldwide, a trully fantastic addition to any home.
Excellent condition with no breaks in the rattan, no repairs, paint has a lovely patina, chair is totally original. In 1958, they won the second prize at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs and their "Soleil" armchair the gold medal at the World Exhibition in Brussels.
