Josef Frank Armchair Nutwood Fabric Original Haus Und Garten Austria 1930´s

About the Item

Josef Frank designed this chair circa 1925 in a smaller version and 1930 in a larger, more comfortable one. He used it for the Villa Beer in Vienna, but also for the flat Blitz also. Solid walnut base, seat of beech, brass upholstery tacks. The original fabric is in good condition but now and then with dirty marks. A piece of this chair is part of the Svenskt Tenn archives in Stockholm.     Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Nutwood base is refreshed with shellac a little bit. Two images are marked with an arrow which shows a tiny damage on one leg and scatches on the nutwood base.
