About the Item

A large and beautiful antique Heywood Wakefield Bar Harbor style wicker arm chair recently acquired from a private estate. It is done in a natural finish with green, maroon and black accent trim, American, circa 1900-1910. Large and incredibly sturdy with lovely wide arms designed with extra supporting beneath. The chair has a large beautiful Bar harbor style woven back and sides coming down to the seat area all of which is encapsulated in by a beautiful green woven braiding through out the perimeter The arms , head rest and expansive arched four sided chair skirting have a decorative closely woven French twist to the weaves design and the chair is supported by the intricately decorated legs woven with pineapple shaped footings all of four of which are done in a black finish. The upholstery is contemporary but done in the style of the chairs period. This large handsome and sturdy Bar Harbor style chair measures: 35" Ht x 30W. x 29.5" D.
