Late 17th Century Carved Walnut and Embossed Leather Armchair

About the Item

An extraordinary chair with superb color, large proportion and very good condition. The wood has a very soft hand and great marking. With polychrome leather embossed back and seat. The frame mounted with carved lion head mask finials on the top. Full surround nail-head trim on the back and supports. Condition: There are tears and splits to the leather seat , a slight wiggle to the left arm facing otherwise quite sturdy and the chair presents exceptionally well. The chair measures 26” wide by 24.75” deep by 47.5” high with a seat height of 18”.
