About the Item

What's old is renewed in this antique Louis XV style armchair in an aqua blue and pale gilt-yellow orchid pattern silk upholstery. This is a one-off, luxurious carved chair, and you will find lots of company for it in our shop in a settee ( LU6651229397112 ), and a Swedish, Gustavian, Biedermeier style open armchair ( LU6651229183922 ) re-designed in the same sumptuous silk. The chair has exquisite gilt nailhead around the back and the seat. This makes a stunnning accent piece. We purchased this chair at auction and decided it would be even more fantastic in the hands of our restorer.
