Lounge Chairs with Hardwood structure and Webbing, France 1950s

About the Item

Pair of Two Lounge Chairs with Hardwood Structure and Webbing, France, 1950s This pair of mid-century French armchairs combines a visually stunning structural design, expert caning techniques, and high-quality materials. The angles of these chairs are striking from every perspective, a style created by Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret for Chandigarh in India. These armchairs would make an eye-catching addition to any interior space, such as a living room, family room, screening room, or office. They are equally well-suited for hospitality or corporate settings, including boutique hotel lobbies, cocktail bars, members' clubs, or luxury boutiques. In good vintage condition, the chairs show wear consistent with age and use. They feature original webbing panels, and the wood has developed a beautiful patina. Choosing used mid-century design furniture promotes sustainability by making use of what is already available. This furniture often finds a second, third, or even fourth life thanks to its high-quality craftsmanship. Many pieces carry a rich history, with signs of wear that offer a glimpse into the previous owner's life.
