We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of circa 1900-1920 Haxyes steamer deck chairs with canopy tops and retractable footrests
A truly stunning pair of original English Victorian armchairs. These came from the golden age of travel when trains, boats and all things steam powered changed the world. These would have been used on a luxury steamer, the colour blue would have been transport provider’s colour. These would have been for the VIP’s as they have canopy tops for shade and retractable footstools
Condition wise they are in amazing order for the age, the fabric is all original and beautifully aged, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished the timber from top to bottom, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect
