Pair of Original and Authentic Lounge Armchairs model "Easy chair" H269 from the late 40s designed by architect Jindrich Halabala Curved black lacquer arms, beech wood in a steam bentwood process Manufactured by UP Zavody Brno made in the Czech Republic from the 1930s-1950s. Newly upholstered in Maison THEVENON Paris fabric (Optimo model) with this incredible 1960s geometric pattern in the style of legendary interior designer David Hicks who created the famous Hexagon rug as seen in the movie "The Shining" by Stanley Kubrick. Light marks on the arms (photos on request).

More about the designer Jindrich Halabala was born on May 24, 1903 in Korycany into the family of carpenter Štepán Halabala, whose craft he learned in a family business between 1918 and 1920. He then joined the State Czechoslovak Vocational School for Wood Processing in Valašské Mezirící, which he graduated from two years later. After school, he started practicing at the United UP races, where he met their founder Jan Vanek.
