A stunning and extremely decorative pair of Continental early 19th century neo-classical st. burl Elm wood armchairs. Each chair is raised by elegant square lightly curved tapered legs with fine scrolled elements below the straight supports with decorative inlaid wrap around fillets. The arms display outstanding and most unique scrolled designs leading upwards to the burl Elm wood back support displaying an exceptional butterfly veneered design showcasing the stunning and most decorative wood grain. Also finished on the back.
